Exam centre being allocated

Please check whether you are being allocated to the right exam centre. by login to myACCA in the acca website.
the correct centre code for tar is I981 should be no doubt about that.
i've already confirm it, and i'm being allocated to tar...

and i'm regret to tell you all, the september edition for student accountant has all been taken and i've asked the office about it. but they have not give me a satisfatory answer. so maybe those who have not get your copy you might not get your september student accountant lo.

Miss Karen wants to inform that she would most probably have a revision class by the end of this month but she want us to finished the past year question for the june 04 paper first so that we would not be blank when we go there lo.

please check you examination status

please log in to ur acca account (myACCA at the right bottom of the accaglobal website) to check whether your examination venue and also the subject that you have chosen is correct or not. if not correct you can chenge it trough the website.
how to do it?
u can login to my acca ==>acca business
just check exam entry option to check your venue and subject.
and also account payment to see what is you currect debt owe to acca(but all of us mostly still owe the exemption fees, which had not been cleared)
i think all of us have our exam fees cleared only and not the exemption fees. so dun need to worry too much.. relax...

Essay writting competition

ACCA will select and sponsor 20 ACCA students in Malaysia(pursuing Part 2 & 3) to an exclusive 5 days workshop in December 2004 to be conducted by a panel from British Council.

Details of the workshop
Topic: Business Writing & Presentation
Dates: 16,17 & 18 Dec 2004 - Business Writing workshop
20 & 21 Dec 2004 - Presentation workshop
Place : British Council KL (9am to 5pm daily)

Terms & conditions for selection:
1. Student is required to submit an essay of not less than 350 words entitled "How my ACCA qualification can help me in achieving my career ambition"

2. Student has to fill up an application form (can be obtained from Ms Sumathi, SBS office)

3. The Essay and the application form must reach ACCA Malaysia by 30 October 2004. If the student wishes to submit the documents via the college, he/she must hand them over to Mr Ho Seng Tuck by 28 October 2004

to those who did not attend the acca student meeting with the examiner if you are interested you can contact me because i've recorded the meeting but it is not that clear if you do not mind.

the examiner mention he would most probably focus on the multinational company and also the non profit organisation

and the examiner also mention that student tends to answer according to what they already know but not what the question want. this would be vital and fatal for the examination.

he also mention something about the student tend to use the past answer into the current examination which is not relevant to the question.

he also mention the style of the paper would be very similar to the june 04 and dec 03 question.

he wrote an article on the contingency theory and also institutional theory but he say that i would be relavant to the recent exam but might not be this exam. so if you assume that when there is an article there would be question. you might be wrong for spoting the question. and he said that not to spot the question.

and you also should focus on the article in the coming october issue of student accountant that sound like 10 ways to pass paper 3.3. it might give you some hints about it.

i would try my best to ask ms karen to arrange for the revision class soon.

october 2004 student accountant

hey.. two more months to exam and there are some article by the examiner and assesor for 3.1,3.2,3.3 and 3.4.
so i just post the link below and please check it out and also remember to collect your copy of student accountant for september from the sbs office and wait for the october edition to come out
